Magnet Coordinator
Dear SSES,
It is with great excitement that I welcome you to a new school year at Southern School of Energy and Sustainability! As your Magnet Coordinator, my role is to support our school’s mission by helping to create engaging opportunities that bring our theme of Energy and Sustainability to life in meaningful ways. I will work alongside teachers, students, families, and community partners to ensure that our magnet program offers experiences that are innovative, hands-on, and aligned with real-world applications.
The Energy and Sustainability theme is not only about science and technology—it’s about preparing our students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and become leaders in building a more sustainable future. Throughout the year, we will have opportunities to highlight our theme across classrooms, extracurricular activities, and school-wide events.
My goal is to ensure that our magnet program provides a rich experience that prepares students academically while also empowering them to make an impact in their communities. I encourage faculty and staff to join me in weaving sustainability into our curriculum, school culture, and daily practices. Students, I challenge you to take full advantage of the opportunities ahead, to ask questions, and to lead with curiosity and creativity.
