On Friday, August 15, you received communication from our central office regarding the implementation of the Protecting Our Students Act. As part of this requirement, all middle and high school students across DPS will view the Protecting Our Students Act video(s) on Wednesday, August 27, Thursday, August 28, and/or Friday, August 29.

At The School for Creative Studies, the video will be shown on Thursday, August 28:

• Middle School students – during Guard Time

• High School students – during Seminar

Parents/guardians may preview the video by visiting the NC Center for Safer Schools YouTube channel here: NC Center for Safer Schools.

If you do not wish for your child to participate, please call the SCS front office by Monday, August 25 to opt out. Students who are opted out will be provided an alternate location and activity during the viewing.

If you would like your child to view the video, no further action is required.

Ley para Proteger a Nuestros Estudiantes

El Viernes 15 de Agosto, used recibió una comunicación de la oficina central sobre la implementación de la Ley para Proteger a Nuestros Estudiantes. Como parte de este requisito, todos los estudiantes de secundaria y preparatoria de DPS verán el/los video(s) de la Ley para Proteger a Nuestros Estudiantes el miércoles 27 de Agosto, Jueves 28 de Agosto y/o Viernes 29 de Agosto.

En The School for Creative Studies, el video se presentará el Jueves 28 de Agosto:

• Estudiantes de secundaria (Middle School) – durante Guard Time

• Estudiantes de preparatoria (High School) – durante Seminar

Los padres/tutores pueden ver el video en el canal de YouTube del NC Center for Safer Schools aquí: NC Center for Safer Schools.

Si usted no desea que su hijo(a) participe, por favor llame a la oficina principal de SCS a más tardar el lunes 25 de Agosto para excluirlo(a). Los estudiantes que no participen recibirán una ubicación y una actividad alternativa durante la proyección.
