Hello, Rogers-Herr families,

As Teachers’ Appreciation Week comes to a close, I want to take a moment to thank our amazing teachers and staff for the heart, dedication, and commitment they pour into our students each and every day. While this week gave us a special opportunity to celebrate them, please know their impact is recognized and appreciated far beyond just one week.

I also want to extend a sincere thank you to our wonderful PTA for their support in helping make this week such a memorable one for our staff. Your generosity, thoughtfulness, and partnership continue to make a difference in the culture and climate of Rogers-Herr.

Thank you, families, for your continued support of our school and for helping us celebrate the incredible educators who serve our Ram Scholars daily.

Congratulations to our RHMS Track Team!

Our boys placed 1st and our girls placed 2nd! I am so proud of the hard work, discipline, and determination our student-athletes showed throughout the season. You represented Rogers-Herr with pride, heart, and excellence.

Way to go, Rams!

Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and next week, May 11 through May 15, we will recognize Mental Health Awareness Week.

This is a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support one another. Mental health matters, and it affects more people than you may think — about 1 in 7 young people experience mental health challenges.

Let’s come together as a school community by participating in our Color Awareness Week:

💚 Monday: Wear Green to support Anxiety, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder

🧡 Tuesday: Wear Orange to support Eating Disorders

❤️ Wednesday: Wear Red to support MS, Self-Injury Awareness, and Stress Relief

💜 Thursday: Wear Purple to support PTSD

💙 Friday: Wear Blue to support ADHD and OCD

Let’s show support, spread awareness, and take care of one another. 💙

EOG Proctor Volunteers Needed

Rogers-Herr is seeking volunteers to support our End-of-Grade (EOG) testing administration. Our testing window will open on May 28 and run through June 8, and we would greatly appreciate your assistance in helping ensure a smooth and successful testing experience for our students.

If you are interested in serving as a proctor, please plan to attend one of the required training sessions listed below:

  • May 12 from 4:00–4:30 PM

  • May 20 from 12:15–12:45 PM

If none of these training times work for your schedule, please reach out to Ms. Rebecca Stone to coordinate an alternative option.

Thank you in advance for your support of our students during this important time.

Retesting

We have an exciting opportunity for our students this year. Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, students who did not score proficient on their end-of-year state test may take part in a second test administration. This retest gives students another chance to show what they know and demonstrate their growth!

For students to participate in the retest, we need permission from a parent or legal guardian. You can opt in for your student by visiting the link on our school’s website, or by signing and returning the letter that will be sent home with your child.

Thank you for supporting your student’s success!

As this is the first year that 8th grade is not teamed, ceremonies will be organized a bit differently. Please review the ceremony times based on your child’s last name to ensure you attend the correct session.

At the conclusion of each ceremony, students may leave with their parents or guardians. To ensure a safe and organized dismissal, parents must sign their student out at the sign-out table located in the main lobby.

We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you and your child.
