Infinite Campus Parent Portal- Beginning in the 2025-26 school year, Durham Public Schools is transitioning to a new student information system, Infinite Campus. This system will replace PowerSchool as your one-stop-shop for grades, attendance, and other important school information. **Students and Parents should be checking Infinite Campus weekly.
Using the Infinite Campus Parent Portal Access Website:
• Go to: https://portalaccess.ncsis.gov
Step 1: Select Durham Public Schools.
Step 2: Enter your student’s ID number, first name, last name, and date of birth.
Step 3: Select the parent/guardian setting up the account.
Step 4: Choose a verification method (text or email—must match what is on file at the school).
Step 5: Enter the 6-digit verification code to complete setup.
Access on the Go:
Bookmark the- Parent Portal website or download the Infinite Campus Parent app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Become a Parent Observer on Canvas- We will continue to use Canvas this year. Make sure to set up an observer account:
1. Get a “Pairing Code” from your student. Find this under “account settings”.
2. Create and set up a Canvas account at https://dpsnc.instructure.com/login/canvas
3. Download and configure the iOS or Android mobile app (optional).

Weekly Principal Update- Don’t forget to tune in to the weekly Principal Update phone call every Sunday evening for important news and upcoming events at RHMS. If you miss it, no worries — the latest update is always available on the RHMS website to keep you in the loop! To ensure that you get Principal Stewarts' weekly phone updates, send an email to lisa.richmond@dpsnc.net with your child's name and updated phone numbers.
Weekly Team Newsletters- Teams send newsletters on Fridays. Check with your child’s team teachers to make sure they have your email address added to their master list.
Rooms- Rooms is a platform that connects families with staff members for student classes, clubs, and sports. In Rooms families can keep up with classroom Announcements, and Messaging.
