Principal’s Update for the Week of 3-9-26
Dear Rogers-Herr Middle School Families and Guardians,
Welcome to the final week of Quarter 3 before we head into intersession.
Measles Preparedness
As news is shared regarding measles outbreaks throughout North Carolina and the country, please know that there is no confirmed case in Durham Public Schools, and that we are continuously working with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and the Durham County Department of Public Health to remain proactive.
If we do not have a record of your student’s measles vaccination or documented exemption, please submit it to the school as soon as possible. If your child has not received the measles vaccination, please contact your health provider as soon as possible. The Durham County Department of Public Health can also provide vaccinations. Should you have any questions about this respiratory virus, please consult your physician or the district’s Lead Nurse Regina Blackmon at regina_blackmon@dpsnc.net.

A/AB Honor Roll
We were honored to celebrate nearly 350 students who earned A/AB Honor Roll on Friday, March 6. Their hard work and dedication to academic excellence continue to make us proud.

Celebrate Pi Daty with the RHMS PTA
Celebrate Pi Day with the RHMS PTA at Tomato Jake’s Pizzeria located at 8202 Renaissance Parkway, Thursday, March 12. Mention “RHMS PTA” when ordering (dine, carry out, and phone orders preferred) and Tomato Jake’s will donate 20% of all sales to the RHMS PTA.
Carowinds Festival of Music
Students participating in the Carowinds Festival of Music on Saturday, May 2, this includes band, chorus, and orchestra, please remember that your payment is due by March 13. Chaperones, your payment is also due by March 13. Thank you for taking care of this by the deadline as we prepare for a great trip.
