Rogers-Herr Middle School -

Dear Rogers-Herr Middle School Families and Guardians,

Mr. Winter certainly had our schedules all mixed up last week, and we appreciate your flexibility and patience as we adjusted to the changing weather conditions.

We are looking forward to a full week of arriving and dismissing on time and returning to our normal routines. Thank you for your continued partnership and support in helping our scholars start and end each day strong.

Please join me in congratulating our 2026–2027 Teacher of the Year, Ms. Hill, our outstanding 7th Grade Science Teacher, and our Beginning Teacher of the Year, Ms. Tabetha Jones-Evans, our incredible Career Exploration Teacher.

We are proud to share that Rogers-Herr Middle School continues to be recognized as a School to Watch, as evidenced by our national Schools to Watch designation. This recognition highlights our commitment to academic excellence, strong relationships, equitable practices, and effective systems that support every child.

When national reviewers visited our school, they saw engaged students, dedicated teachers, and a community focused on continuous growth and improvement. This honor reflects the hard work of our staff, the determination of our scholars, and the partnership we share with you.

Please note that next Monday, February 16, is a Teacher Workday. There will be no school for students on that day.

Progress Reports

Progress reports will be sent home on Friday, February 13. Please take time to review your child’s report, discuss their progress, and reach out to teachers if you have any questions or need additional support.

Photos

Club photos and 8th grade picture re-takes will take place on Tuesday, February 17. Please help your scholar come prepared and ready to smile for the camera.
