Infinite Campus

We are excited to share that family usage of Infinite Campus has increased from 67.6% to 68.7%. We appreciate the progress and would love to see this number continue to grow. Your partnership plays a vital role in supporting student success, and staying connected is an important first step.

If you have not yet created an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account, please visit https://320.ncsis.gov/campus/portal/psu320durham.jsp to set up your login and begin accessing your child’s grades, attendance, and assignments.

 On-time Arrival

We want to share an important reminder about the importance of arriving to school on time. Recently, we have seen an increase in students arriving late, which directly impacts their Discovery period.

Discovery is a critical part of the school day when students receive targeted remediation or enrichment based on their individual academic needs. When students arrive after the start of the day, they miss this valuable time designed to support their learning and growth.

Please help us by ensuring your scholar arrives at school by 8:15 a.m., ready for Discovery and a strong start to the day. Your partnership in prioritizing punctuality makes a meaningful difference in your child’s success.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to helping every student thrive.

National Junior Society Update

Membership in NJHS is a prestigious achievement. The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school-level students. More than just an honor roll based on excellent grades, NJHS serves to honor those students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929.

There will be an NJHS Application Information session on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 5 - 6 pm in the auditorium. Eligible students will receive application packets during this meeting.  The application window is from Monday, February 2, 2026, to Wednesday, February 25, 2026. The deadline for all applications is Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Applications may be submitted to Ms. Adams directly or to the main office. Current 7th and 8th-grade eligible students will be invited to apply.

If you have any questions concerning the National Junior Honor Society process, please contact the NJHS advisor, Ms. Jasmine Adams (jasmine_adams@dpsnc.net).

Winter Team Sport Pictures

This is a reminder that Winter Team Sport pictures for basketball and cheer will be taken on January 21 at 4:15 p.m. Please ensure students arrive on time and are prepared for photos.
