Food Drive
Help Us Make a Difference This Holiday Season! Rogers-Herr is hosting a Holiday Food Drive to support families in need within our community. From November 17–21, we’ll be collecting nonperishable food items and hygiene products to benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. To add a little friendly competition, grade levels will go head-to-head, and the grade that donates the most items will win extra recess time! Let’s work together to spread kindness, give back, and make a positive impact this holiday season. Every can, box, and bottle counts!
Character Counts
Character Counts at Rogers-Herr and for this month of November we are focused on the character trait Good Judgement.
Good Judgement means showing:
What It Looks Like
Taking time to think before speaking or acting.
Making choices that are safe, kind, and responsible.
Following rules even when no one is watching.
Listening to advice from teachers, parents, and peers.
Considering how your actions affect others.
Learning from mistakes and making better choices next time.
Balancing what you want to do with what’s right to do.
What It Sounds Like
“Let me think about that first.”
“That’s not a good idea; we could get in trouble.”
“I’m going to finish my work before I play.”
“I’m sorry, I should’ve made a better choice.”
As a family, discuss the importance of exhibiting good judgment daily.
Thank You
Thank you for making Rogers-Herr an extraordinary place to learn, work and grow! As always Rams ROCK!
