Principal’s Update for the Week of 10/19/25

Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to begin Quarter 2 and continue building on our strong culture of excellence at Rogers-Herr Middle School. This week, each grade level will participate in Ram Chats to revisit and reinforce our school-wide expectations for behavior, academic focus, and respect for our learning environment.

We have noticed an increase in students using their cell phones during instructional time, which interrupts teaching and learning. Please take a moment to remind your child of the law and school policy regarding cell phone use during school hours.

Report Cards

Report cards were sent home Friday.  Please review the report card with your child. Together, discuss celebrations as well as any needed areas of improvement.  Set goals for the second nine weeks and discuss specific action steps you will follow as a family to ensure the goals are met.

National Junior Society Update

NJHS will lead an Anti-Bullying spirit Week the week of October 27.  Look for more information to come.

Fall Pictures Make Up-Day

Please note that our Fall Picture Make-Up Day is scheduled for Tuesday,  October 28.

Character Counts

Character Counts at Rogers-Herr and for this month of October we are focused on the character trait Kindness.

Kindness means showing:

Being considerate, courteous, helpful, and understanding others

Showing care, compassion, friendship, and generosity

Treating others as you would like to be treated

As a family, discuss the importance of exhibiting kindness daily.

Conferences

We want to problem solve to ensure the success of our students. If a parent conference is wanted with an individual teacher or with the entire team, please email or call the appropriate staff member or grade level administrator.

Please feel free to contact our school anytime. Thank you for making Rogers-Herr an extraordinary place to learn, work and grow! We look forward to seeing all of our students bright and early Monday morning. As always Rams ROCK!
