Principal’s Update Week of: 9-7-25
Can you believe we are already moving into Week 8, Rams Nation? Time is flying, and intersession is right around the corner! This is such an important stretch of the quarter because it gives our Ram Scholars the chance to finish strong, show what they know, and demonstrate the discipline and focus we’ve been building all year.
As we head toward intersession, we encourage families to:
Check in daily with your child about homework, upcoming assignments, and progress in their classes.
Celebrate the small wins; whether it’s completing an iReady lesson, earning a shout-out, or showing good character in class.
Remind your child to stay focused in Discovery, where targeted practice helps strengthen skills and push them closer to proficiency.
Reinforce the importance of our school values: Respect, Ownership, Character, and Knowledge.
This is a great time to talk with your child about setting short-term goals. Ask questions like: What’s one subject you want to improve before intersession? What’s a personal habit you can work on to make learning easier?
Together, we can help our Ram Scholars close out these last few weeks with momentum and pride. The finish line is in sight, and with hard work, our students will be ready to enjoy a well-deserved break.
Quote for the Week: "Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success." – Henry Ford
Celebration!
Rogers-Herr Middle School is excited to share some amazing news with our families. In case you have not heard, we have earned a solid “B” school report card grade AND exceeded growth! With a Growth Index of 4.36 and a Growth Percentage of 90.6%, RHMS ranks among the top schools in the state.
This milestone is more than just numbers, it’s a celebration of the hard work of our Ram Scholars, the dedication of our outstanding staff, and the support of our families. Together, we are showing that true greatness comes through growth.
I am deeply honored to lead and serve such an extraordinary school community. As we step into Year 2 of our journey together, we do so with renewed purpose, striving for even greater heights and unlocking the full potential of every Ram Scholar.

Effective Communication
Strong and consistent communication between home and school is key to every child’s success. If you have an immediate question or concern, we encourage you to first reach out to your child’s teacher, as they are the primary point of contact and best equipped to address classroom-related matters.
If further support is needed after connecting with the teacher, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s grade-level administrator. We are confident that by following these chains of command, your concerns will be addressed and resolved. We value our partnership with you and are committed to working together to ensure the best possible experience for your child.
