The New Hope Creek Walkway Project was created by

6th grade students from Githens Middle School 2026

The purpose of the project is to engage and educate the Durham community about the natural environment of the New Hope Creek Watershed when they are visiting and enjoying the DPR Old Chapel Hill Park amenities and trailway.
