It's Principal Cheek with your weekly message. Thank you to all of you who showed appreciation for our teachers! We want to send a special shout-out to our PTO parents who provided lunch for us on Friday. It was such a treat!
It’s that time of the year to check book bags, couch cushions, and back seats for those amazing library books. Library books need to be returned by June 3.
CMS Chorus and Bucket Drummers will hold their Spring Concert, “Taking it Back-Old School”, on Wednesday, May 14th, at 6 p.m. in Gym-1. All students participating must report by 5:30 p.m. for warm-ups. This concert is free.
SwaGRRR Day is this Friday, May 16th. The cost to attend is $10. You can pay online at: bit.ly/grrr25 through May 14th until Midnight. Cash payments will be accepted May 14th and May 15th during grade-level lunches. Final payments must be received by 1:45PM on May 15th. No refunds will be provided. To keep our event fun and safe we are asking the following from our families- please send your child to school with a water bottle, sunscreen, and protective sunwear; If you have availability, please sign up to volunteer for the event at bit.ly/chipin25. This is a friendly reminder for those planning to attend the DPS Athletic Track and Field Championship to be held at the Durham County Stadium on Tuesday, May 13 at 2:00 pm:
• Clear Bag Policy: Only clear bags are allowed into the venue.
• No Re-Entry: Guests who leave the venue will need to pay for re-entry.
• No Outside Food or Drinks: Outside food and drinks are not permitted. Any food or drinks provided for the team must arrive with the team. Items cannot be brought to the team after arrival. Additionally, elementary and middle school-aged children must be accompanied by an adult for entry.
