During the release of the School Performance Data by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) in September 2025, Carrington Middle School was designated as an Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (AT-TSI) school under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

This designation means that a specific student subgroup did not meet the state’s performance expectations, and as a result, our school will receive additional targeted support to improve outcomes for all students.

We here at Carrington Middle are fully committed to using this opportunity for reflection and growth. Together, with our families, staff, and students, we will continue working to ensure that every scholar is supported, challenged, and successful.
