FIELD DAY
Our annual Field Day is almost here! PK–2nd graders will participate on Thursday, May 21st, and 3rd–5th graders will enjoy their events on Friday, May 22nd from 9 to 10:30 AM each day. While we value and appreciate all children, Field Day is reserved exclusively for Southwest students.
Students should come dressed in appropriate PE clothing, closed-toe athletic shoes, and bring a water bottle. Two water stations will be available as students rotate through 15 fun activity stations.
To add a splash of fun, students are invited to join our Color Challenge by wearing their grade level color: Pre-K : Black | Kindergarten: Blue | 1st Grade: Red | 2nd Grade: Green | 3rd Grade: Orange | 4th Grade: Purple | 5th Grade: Yellow
Huge thanks to everyone who has already donated from our wish list. Mr. Holmes will follow up with volunteers on Monday with a few details.
EOG TESTING FOR 3rd – 5th GRADERS
North Carolina requires these annual tests to be administered during the final 10 days of the school year Testing will begin on Thursday, May 28th. Testing begins at 7:50 am each day and runs until 11:30 am
May 28- 3rd Reading & 5th Science
May 29 – 4th Reading
June 1st – Make-ups
June 2nd – 3rd & 5th Math
June 3rd – 3rd RTA & 5th Reading
June 4th – 4th Math
June 5th-10th – Make-Ups & Retesting - As a reminder parental/legal guardian permission is required for a student to participate in a retest. The Consent to Retest form is located on the front page of our website. https://shorturl.at/kPwA6
