Weekly Message

NO SCHOOL
There will be no school Monday, September 22nd due to a scheduled Teacher Workday. Enjoy the day off—see you back in class soon, refreshed and ready to go!

PROGRESS REPORTS
Due to ongoing efforts to transition our standards to Infinite Campus, DPS is not yet able to complete the migration. As a result, paper progress reports for this quarter will be sent home on Friday, September 26th, along with mCLASS Home Connect letters.

DPS MOBILE APP
This app will keep you informed with district-wide updates and includes Rooms, a platform for teacher communication.

While we're still permitted to use ClassDojo for now, a couple of teachers and extracurricular programs are currently using Rooms. This is part of our gradual transition, as the entire school will eventually move to Rooms for all communication.

DOJO - NON HOMEROOM MESSAGES
To send a ClassDojo message to a teacher rather than a homeroom, navigate to the "Chats" tab in your app or website, then type "Teacher" in the search bar to filter for staff members and select the intended recipient.

SEPTEMBER IS ATTENDANCE AWARENESS MONTH
Healthy habits support strong attendance. While staying home when truly sick protects everyone, regular handwashing, sleeping, and nutritious meals help prevent illness and keep students energized for learning. Only serious symptoms like fever or contagious illness should keep students’ home—because even a few missed days can add up to weeks of lost instruction.
