Greetings, Viking Family.
Congratulations to our Viking football team on their first win of the season Saturday! Keep up the momentum and continue to uphold championship standards both on and off the field.
A big THANK you to all the families and staff who came out to support and cheer on our team — your presence and encouragement are truly appreciated!
Curriculum Night
Please come out and join us for Curriculum Night next Tuesday, September 16th from 5:30-7:00pm. Curriculum Night allows parents to spend time with their child’s grade level team so they can explore the curriculum and learn important information about this school year. Additionally, it is an opportunity for teachers to begin to form relationships with parents, answer any questions, and help parents familiarize them with grade level and classroom expectations. Our school Title 1 Plan will be shared as well. We look forward to seeing you next Tuesday, September 16th.
2024-2025 Data Release
On September 3, 2025, the State of North Carolina released our district and school’s performance data for last school year. We know how important it is that every child learns and grows in our school. The state’s accountability standards are one way that we track our progress, but it’s just as important that you feel satisfied with your child’s individual academic progress and engaged with our school community. Our teachers and staff will work with you and your child to meet these high standards and ensure that our students will leave Durham Public Schools ready for college or the workplace.
If you would like additional information about our school performance data and what they mean, please plan to attend our school Curriculum Night next Tuesday, September 16th starting at 5:30pm. Information will also be available on the Durham Public Schools website at www.dpsnc.net. Thank you, and again, we look forward to seeing you next Tuesday, September 16.
