Congratulations to the Jordan Men’s Track & Field Team on an outstanding season as Quad City 7 Conference Champions and 8A Western Regional Runner-Up. On May 16, the Jordan Men’s Track & Field team competed at North Carolina A&T State University and won the 8A NCHSAA Track & Field State Championship marking Jordan’s second team title within two days. Special recognition goes to James Carter, Head Men’s Track & Field Coach, along with assistant coaches Danielle Anderson, John Gray, Chris Lawson, Courtney Pringley, and Raymond Wilson. Thank you as well to volunteer coaches Patrick Kinch and Hannah Morris.
Special congratulations to Jaleel Griffin for winning both the Indoor and Outdoor 110 Meter Hurdle State Championships, Xavier Perkins for winning both the Indoor and Outdoor Shot Put State Championships, and Chase Hunter for winning both the Indoor and Outdoor High Jump State Championships. Congratulations also to Asher Holland for being recognized as the Farm Bureau Sportsmanship Award Winner. We are incredibly proud of this team’s hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, and commitment to excellence throughout the season.
