This spring, our students will take EOGs. Prior to this year, students who just missed passing a state exam (by a few questions) were given the chance to retake the exam automatically. This year, parents and guardians are required to provide consent to allow their students to retake state exams if they nearly passed the first time. It’s important to know that each student’s highest score on their test is the score that remains on the permanent academic record. This is especially beneficial for elementary-aged students as they enter middle school.

Esta primavera, nuestros estudiantes presentarán los exámenes EOG. Antes de este año, los estudiantes que no aprobaban un examen estatal por un margen mínimo (por solo unas pocas preguntas) tenían la oportunidad de repetirlo automáticamente. Este año, los padres y tutores deben dar su consentimiento para que sus hijos puedan repetir los exámenes estatales si casi los aprueban en el primer intento.
