Rogers-Herr Middle School has been awarded a $20,000 grant from the Forest at Duke to enhance student learning across all subjects using key digital educational resources and technology.
The $20,000 grant will allow the school to purchase iEdPuzzle, Quizizz, Flocabulary, and Delta Math, equip classrooms with much-needed chargers, and upgrade hallway monitors with Vivi digital display attachments.
Dorothy Carr, the RHMS MTAC committee chair, and Media Coordinator Jennifer Lee co-wrote the grant, ensuring that the funds will support students' reading and math development, provide safe and effective AI tools, and foster a more equitably informed and connected school community.
“We could not do all the things we do at RHMS without the Forest at Duke’s support,” Carr and Lee expressed, acknowledging the organization’s ongoing dedication to educational excellence.
With these exciting resources in place, Rogers-Herr Middle School is looking forward to another fantastic year of learning and growing. Students and educators alike will benefit from enhanced instructional tools, deeper engagement in reading and math, and expanded opportunities to connect and thrive in an ever-evolving educational landscape, according to Dr. Tawauna Stewart, principal.
