Durham Public Schools is proud to celebrate Joaquin Davis, a standout graduate of Jordan High School and North Carolina Central University, who has officially signed with the Denver Broncos.
Davis, a Durham native, began his football journey in the halls of Jordan High School, where he made an early impact with his speed, work ethic, and leadership. As a senior wide receiver, Davis racked up 643 receiving yards and five touchdowns, earning All-Conference honors and helping lead Jordan to its first conference championship since 1973.
Following his time at Jordan, Davis continued his academic and athletic career at North Carolina Central University. At NCCU, he posted 31 receptions for 490 yards and four touchdowns, drawing attention for his athleticism and big-play ability. At his pro day, Davis turned heads with a blazing 4.36-second 40-yard dash and an impressive 40.5-inch vertical leap—metrics that helped seal his opportunity at the next level.
Durham Public Schools joins the entire community in celebrating this incredible milestone. Joaquin Davis is more than a football player—he’s a role model for what’s possible when talent, determination, and community support come together.
