Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
On Friday, May 9, 2025 we will be holding Field Day!
We ask that your student is dressed comfortably for playing and running. Sun block should be worn. In the event of inclement weather, Field Day will continue indoors. There will be events for children of all abilities.
To ensure the success of Field Day we need outstanding support of our parent/guardian volunteers!
Field Day will be broken down into two sessions with lunch in between. Field Day for Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade will be from 8:30 am - 10:00 am. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will have Field Day from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. We will also need help with setup at 7:30 am, and breakdown which will be completed by 12:30 pm
There are two steps to volunteer for Field Day:
1.
Complete the attached form, and return to your child’s teacher.
2.
Scan the QR code on the attached form to register as a volunteer with Durham Public Schools.
Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes before their shift to park and get to their station.
Feel free to sign up for the Set-Up session, Morning Field Day, Afternoon Field Day, or Break-Down session! Feel free to stay for 2 blocks of time if possible!
