Student Schedules on Infinite Campus - Students and families can now view schedules in Infinite Campus. To access your schedule; please log into Infinite Campus, and click "Schedule" to view your schedule.
Instructions for Families that Need to Set-up Infinite Campus Accounts - Please follow these instructions to create an Infinite Campus account, contact our data manager Felita Newman (felita_newman@dpsnc.net) if you need additional assistance.
Schedule Changes for Fall Semester - Students are now able to request schedule changes online for the Fall 2026 semester. Please consult the 2026-27 RHS Course Change Drop/Add Guide for more information on the reasons for and process of requesting a schedule change.
Special Scheduling Information for Seniors:
Families of seniors planning to graduate in January of 2027 and juniors who wish to follow an accelerated graduation plan and complete high school in 3 years should complete the 2026-27 RHS Early Grad Request Form.
Those seniors who qualify to have a shortened school day must complete the 2026-27 Late Arrival Early Release Schedule Form.
Seniors who would like to serve as a teaching assistant should print, complete, and submit the 2026-27 TA/Independent Study Form.
Immunization Requirements for Seniors - Please see here for a list of required immunizations for all 12th graders.
Senior Photos (Cap and Gown, Tux and Drape) on August 11 and 12 - Seniors do not need an appointment. Please see this Jostens flyer for more details. Senior photos will be available for viewing and purchase on August 13, please see here for details on viewing/purchasing.
Parking Passes/Off-Campus Passes - Here are the instructions for 12th graders and 11th graders who would like to purchase parking passes and off-campus passes for the 2026-27 school year: Parking and Off-Campus Passes/Regulations. Please note that families must come with students to the school to jointly sign the parking/off-campus lunch contract.
Summer Bridge and Freshman Orientation on August 13 and 14 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - This free program is a great opportunity for rising 9th graders to connect with their peers and learn about academic and social life here at Riverside High School. Our orientation includes a presentation for families on Thursday, August 13 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. (9th Grade Orientation Presentation powerpoint) in the Auditorium. Bus Transportation - Bus routes will be posted by the district on Wednesday, August 19. The process for accessing your student's bus route will again be through the district Edulog ap. If you did not utilize Edulog last year, here is a link to information on how to download and use the Edulog ap: (https://www.edulog.com/parent-help/#parentportal).
If you do not see a bus route assigned to your Riverside student when the bus routes are posted on Edulog on Wednesday, August 19, please complete the following google form to request bus transportation for the upcoming school year: Bus Request Form. Our data manager Ms. Newman and assistant principal Mr. Jones will monitor this form to request bus transportation for your student.
Please note that bus routes typically take up to ten days to be assigned after the request has been submitted.
Families will need to continue to check the Edulog Ap to see when a bus route has been assigned to your Riverside student.
Bus route information will also be available at Open House on Friday, August 21.

Car Rider Drop-Off/Pick-Up Information - In the mornings, please drop your student off in the traffic circle at the front of the school. Please note the school building does not open to students until 8:45 a.m. In the afternoons, you can pick up your student in the traffic circle at the front of the school or at the top of the junior parking lot in front of the school (here is a visual diagram of arrival/dismissal).
Please do not drop-off or pick-up your student on the sides of or behind the school.
Please plan on longer than normal departure times for the first two weeks of school.
Breakfast and Lunch will again be free for all DPS students this year.
DPS/RHS Technology Fee - DPS requires a $30 annual technology fee for high school students in order to support device sustainability and repair. This technology fee can be paid at DPS' Online Pay Portal. DPS is committed to ensuring all students have access to the technology needed for learning. If your family is experiencing financial hardship, you may request a waiver of the Student Technology Fee by completing this form: 2026-2027 Student Technology Fee Hardship Request.
Students are also allowed to utilize their personal laptops at school under DPS'

Teacher/Family Communication Platform - Durham Public Schools and Riverside High School are returning to TalkingPoints as the district's official platform for teacher-family communication.
"Floating" Open House/Welcome Back Night for All Students and Families on Friday, August 21 from 3:30 - 5:30 pm - This is a great opportunity for students and families to walk student schedules, meet teachers, learn about extracurriculars, etc. There will be an Informational Assembly for families from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in the Auditorium. Special Events for Seniors - Senior Parking Spot Painting on Monday, August 17 and Senior Sunrise on Sunday, August 23.
Curriculum/Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, September 10 from 5:30 - 7 pm -This is a great opportunity for families to follow their students' schedules and learn more about teachers' course curriculums and academic expectations.
