You will need to be online to register promptly at 9 AM. Classes fill up extremely quickly; you will want to be ready once the registration link goes live. 

Please remember, you can only register for a class at the school you are enrolled in. If you register for a school, you do not attend, you will be removed from the registration. All classes meet over Zoom. If your registration is accepted, you will be notified once we have confirmed your registration with the class information. Payment for the class ($45) will need to be completed at the time of your registration. Please have either a debit or credit card available to complete your registration. Students must be 14 ½ to register for a class.

If the class allotment is not met during the registration period, the class will be cancelled, and students will have to re-enroll for the next available class.

Students that are dismissed from a Driver Education class due to behavior or attendance problems will not be allowed to take Driver Education a second time through Durham Public Schools. 

Registration And Payment

DPS uses an online payment system for the $45 fee for Driver Education. You must pay for the class in order to complete your registration. The fee can only be paid by credit card or debit card. The registration site charges a fee of $3.25 to process the registration, so $48.25 will be charged to the card.  Students who do not have a credit or debit card will need to obtain a card to complete registration. Please remember that some places will charge a service fee for card usage and that fee will be added to the $48.25 fee amount.
