Behavior Expectations and Student Choices
These last few days are an exciting time for students, but they can also present challenges when it comes to staying focused and making positive behavioral choices. We kindly ask you to remind your child about the importance of finishing the year strong—both academically and behaviorally. Encouraging respectful, responsible, and safe behavior each day helps create a positive environment for everyone and allows for meaningful, memorable end-of-year activities.
Here are a few ways you can support your child during this time:
• Talk regularly with your child about their day and how they’re feeling.
• Set clear expectations about behavior at school.
• Celebrate good decisions.
• Encourage rest to help with energy and focus.
• Remind your child that their choices reflect their growth and maturity.
Along with parent contact for misbehavior, consequences may include: student loss of privilege to participate in field trips, celebrations, and/or ceremonies if behavior expectations are not met. Let’s work together to help students finish the school year on a high note and make choices they can be proud of—right up until the last day!
Capturing Kids’ Hearts Family Survey:
Parents, we value your voice in shaping a positive and supportive learning environment for all our students. As part of our ongoing commitment to building strong relationships and a caring school culture, we’re inviting you to take a few moments to complete the Capturing Kids’ Hearts survey.
Your feedback is important—it helps us celebrate what’s working well and identify areas where we can grow. The insights you share will directly inform our planning and priorities for the upcoming school year.
Please look for the survey link to be shared via Talking Points tomorrow, Monday, June 9th. Lowe’s Grove students and staff will also participate in the survey as their feedback will be valuable to our collaborative planning efforts. Thank you for partnering with us in making our school the best it can be!
As always, Please feel free to contact our school anytime.
