May 5-9 - This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Let’s celebrate Lowe’s Grove teachers and staff as a community all week long.
Monday - Card or Flower Day
Tuesday - Favorite Snack Day
Wednesday - Surprise Your Teacher(s) Day
Thursday - Favorite Soft Drink or Beverage Day
Friday - Wear Your Teacher’s Favorite Color
Please participate and/or acknowledge teachers as you choose.
May 7th - National School Nurse Day.
May 9th - Early Release Day (students will be released at 1:20pm); Progress Reports Distributed
Math Madness School-Wide Competition
Students are participating in a school-wide math competition. The 6th Grade Explorers Team won Round 1 and select students will receive “Sweets ‘n Treats” goodies tomorrow. Round 2 ended on Friday. Individual and team winners will be announced on Tuesday (5/9). We have one more round left in the competition, which starts tomorrow. As a reminder, the overall winning team will earn a surprise team fun day.
After School Tutoring
It is not too late to sign your child up for our spring after school tutoring. Permission slips must be filled out and signed by a parent or guardian prior to participation. If you would like to inquire about available seats for your child’s grade level, please email Ms. Georgette Leary (8th grade counselor).
Athletic Updates for the Week of May 5th
Monday, 5/5: BB/SB/GS (home) vs SMS @ 4:45p; *8th Grade Night (parents arrive by 4pm*)
Tuesday, 5/6: Spring Sports Tutoring 3:30-4:30p
Wednesday, 5/7: Track (home) vs. RHMS & SMS @ 4:45pm; *8th Grade Night (parents arrive by 4pm*)
Thursday, 5/8: BB/SB/GS (away) vs. Githens @ 4:45pm-- *LAST GAME of Season*

Students cannot attend games without Parent or Guardian present*
Game Tickets and Admissions
The DPS Athletic Department will not accept cash at the gates.
GoFan is for spectators to purchase tickets for all athletic events.
There will be no cash at the door for games.
Tickets must be purchased through GoFan in advance.
All tickets are $8 for adults.
Elementary age students are admitted to games for free
You will need to create an account to finalize your purchase for both home and away games.
