Summer Meet-Ups:

• Saturday, July 19, 9AM at Trinity Park (410 Watts St, Durham, NC 27701)

• Tuesday, August 12, 5PM Popsicles on our NEW playground

Supply Lists--purchasing supplies for your child is helpful, but we also have many community partners who will help if you are unable to purchase any supplies. See our supply list HERE.

School starts on Monday, August 25 for Grades 1-5: Lower Elementary (grades 1-3) and Upper Elementary (grades 4/5) are invited to meet-the-teacher on Friday, August 22 from 8AM until 9:30AM. Drop in anytime during that window to see your classroom and say hello to your child's teacher. This is a drop-in event, expect your classroom visit to take approximately 20 minutes.

Primary (preK and Kindergarten) Staggered Start: the first week of school looks a bit different for our primary students.

• Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (8/25-8/27) will be staggered start days. Each student will attend for ONE school day in a smaller group. This will allow them time to meet the primary teachers and staff, get acclimated to the primary classroom, and participate with informal assessments. Following the staggered start days, we will develop classroom rosters to support balanced primary classrooms, considering both the social-emotional and academic needs of the students. Sign-up now:

• Meet the Teacher, Thursday, August 28, 4-5PM–families will be notified of their classroom placement mid-day on Thursday and invited to come and see the classroom and officially meet the teacher Thursday afternoon.

• Friday, August 29–all primary students will attend school for the full day.
