Please help us in congratulating Mr. Jonathan Norville (aka Jon|O), 5th grade ELA teacher, as EK Powe's 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year! This is a massive honor for many reasons. It recognizes Mr. Jon|O as a leader and face of a group of authentic and inspiring educators at EK Powe. He was nominated and selected by his peers. Some of their comments are:

Mr. Jon|O was named Teacher of the Year yesterday at our staff meeting and had a few remarks that left few dry eyes in the room. He talked about his journey from an IA to a certified teacher and what it means to him - and his family.
