2025 AP Testing FAQ’s
Testing Schedule
1. What is the AP Testing window?
May 5-16 (standard testing); May 19-23 (Late testing)

2. Do I have to take the AP Exam?
All students enrolled in AP Courses/Classroom have been registered for testing. Any student not taking the exam will be assessed a $40 unused exam fee.
3. What is the format of the AP test?
This year’s tests are mainly Digital or Hybrid. Spanish, Italian and Music Theory are paper/pencil. Students should look here for an overview of digital and hybrid testing. Students need to download Bluebook on the device they plan to test on.
4. Where will testing take place?
Standard Testing will take place at Trinity Avenue Presbyterian Church with a few exceptions.
Late Testing will take place at DSA.
5. Where should I meet?
Please meet in the church parking lot (corner of Gregson Street & W. Trinity Ave) prior to test administration
6. What time should I report?
For an 8AM exam, please report at 7:15; for a 12 PM exam please report by 11:15
7. How should I get there?
For 8AM exams, students will need to secure personal transportation (please do not rely on the buses as we have a hard start before 9:00 am); for afternoon exams students should be prepared to secure transportation home following the exam. It may run past 3:20 dismissal and we are not able to hold buses.
Students with afternoon exams, if you are on campus, walk across Minerva to the church.
8. Where should I park?
Parking is not allowed in either of the church lots (on Trinity Ave. or Gregson St). If you do not have a designated DSA parking space, you will need to park along the street. Please pay close attention to tow zones. You are subject to being towed at student/parent expense if you are parked in an undesignated parking area.
9. Must I remain at school all day?
Students with morning exams may leave school following the exam. Students with afternoon exams may arrive by 11:15. Absences will be coded as a school related activity and will not impact exam exemptions. Students are responsible for any missed work. A google form is provided here
10. What should I bring to the testing site?
Chromebooks fully charged and the charger. Personal computers are allowed but not recommended.

#2 Pencils (not mechanical) and blue/black pens.
You may need a light jacket to ensure that you are comfortable.
You may also bring a water bottle if needed. Water bottles and snacks are not allowed in the testing room.

11. What should I do to prepare for testing?
Get plenty of rest
Eat breakfast or lunch
When should I eat? You may bring breakfast or lunch but it must be consumed before entering the church. Students who have afternoon exams and are in school should grab lunch at 11:00 from the cafeteria prior to reporting to the testing location.
12. How should I govern myself while at the church?
We are guests at Trinity and are grateful they have allowed us to use their facilities for off-campus testing. Ensure all trash is placed in the proper receptacles both inside and outside of the church. Please keep the restrooms tidy during use. Please do not use the elevators if you do not have a condition that requires it. Please do not enter unsanctioned areas in the building. Students have permitted access to the lobby, the restrooms, and the 2nd floor testing rooms only.
13. Prior to testing, students will need to review the AP Exam Terms and Conditions at cb.org/apexamterms. Students will acknowledge on test day.
14. Free Score Report. By June 20, go to cb.org/apfreescoresend to indicate recipients.
15. What if I miss or can’t make my originally scheduled test date? Please notify your teacher and AP Coordinator, Yolanda LeMay, yolanda_lemay@dpsnc.net to reschedule and order a late/make-up exam as soon as possible. Students missing exams for anything other than a school related event will have to pay the full cost for the make-up $139. Please submit payment at AP testing fees . Make-up exams will be ordered upon receipt of payment. Please send a copy of the receipt to the AP coordinator.
