  • Swingpals at Neal

    Swing Pals was founded by Doug Hodges in 2009 with the purpose of using golf as a medium to empower young teens, provide mentorship and encourage long-term healthy decisions. The Durham-based program partners with middle schools that have high percentages of students with subsidized meals. According to the program's website, Swing Pal's mission is to "build a foundation of health and strong character in children facing adversity."

  • Hurricane Relief Drive

    The drive has been extended, and it now runs until October 26! Neal Middle School recognizes the impact that the hurricane has had on many North Carolina communities. As a collective response, we are uniting to launch our “Eagle To Eagle” Hurricane Relief Drive. We will collect donations to support Carver Middle School and the surrounding community in Scotland County.

    Durham County Library and Durham Public Schools are very excited to announce the October 1st launch of the Bull City, NC Schools & Libraries Achieving More (SLAM) initiative. This project provides all students in the Durham Public Schools with access to Durham County Library resources.

  • 7th Grade Vaccination Requirements

    Rising seventh graders are required to receive the MCV (meningococcal conjugate vaccine) and a Tdap booster shot if the students were not already vaccinated in sixth grade. The deadline is September 26. Click for more details.
