Football:

The Varsity Spartans demolished the Louisburg Warriors with a score of 48-8. Unfortunately, the JV Spartans took a close L against the non-conference Jordan Falcons with a score of 8-6. The Hillside Hornets overtook the Northern Knights with a score of 48-6. The JV Hornets also won against the Knights, shutting them down 22-0. Jordan’s varsity Falcons swept East Chapel Hill in a blowout of 70-0. The JV Riverside Pirates lost to Chapel Hill by a score of 19-34. 

Volleyball:

On Tuesday, Oct 3, 2023, the Southern Durham Varsity Girls Volleyball team lost their match against Louisburg High School by a score of 0-3. On Thursday, Oct 5, 2023, the Southern Durham Varsity Girls Volleyball team won their match against Vance County High School by a score of 3-0. Elizabeth Leathers had a total of 6 sets and 8 kills, including 5 aces. Samone Arrington had a total of 2 sets. Natalynn Snipes-Draine had a total of 3 sets and 1 kill. On Tuesday, Oct 3, 2023, the Hillside Varsity Girls Volleyball team lost their match against Riverside-Durham High School by a score of 1-3. On Thursday, Oct 5, 2023, the Hillside Varsity Girls Volleyball team lost their match against Northern Durham High School by a score of 0-3. On Tuesday, Oct 3, 2023, the Northern Durham Varsity Girls Volleyball team won their match against East Chapel Hill High School by a score of 3-2. Congratulations to Lauryn Patterson for being selected as the Northern Durham player of the match! 

Soccer:

On Tuesday, Oct 3, 2023, the Hillside Varsity Boys Soccer team lost their game against Chapel Hill High School by a score of 0-9. On Thursday, Oct 5, 2023, the Hillside Varsity Boys Soccer team lost their game against Jordan High School by a score of 0-4.
