Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight. Can you believe we only have 16 days of school left?  Please listen to the following reminders about important things happening at Bethesda the week of May 20th.  

Monday, May 20th  
•    National Elementary Honor Society (Afterschool)
•    Bulldog Academy Tutoring (Afterschool)

Tuesday, May 21st  
•    Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
•    Bulldog Academy Tutoring (Afterschool)
•    Bethesda PTA Sponsors Be Internet Awesome Family Event and General PTA Meeting featuring the Election of Officers for 2019-2020.  The event starts at 6.  It includes learning about internet safety for the entire family. The event will feature dinner, raffling of several gift cards ranging from $10-$50, and raffling of a Google Pixelbook/Laptop worth over $900.

Thursday, May 23rd  
•    Art Club (Afterschool)
•    Communities in School’s Incredible Years Program (5:30)

Friday, May 24th    
•    Show Your Bulldog Pride by wearing your Leadership t-shirt, sweatshirt, or blue and white

Do you have a child coming to kindergarten next year? If so, please come to the school to register.

Recently, you should have received a pink sheet featuring upcoming important dates. These include…
•    End-of-Grade Tests begin May 29th. Check our website for specific dates for 3rd-5th grade tests. Each day of testing, students need to arrive to school on time.
•    5th Grade Formal on June 7th 
•    June 10th K-5 End-of-Year Awards. Check out website for the specific time for each program.
•    June 11th Last Day of School and Early Release
•    June 12th and 13th Take Two Assessments for 3rd-5th grades
