Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School, with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight. Please listen to the following reminders about important things happening at Bethesda the week of April 8th.

 

Monday, April 8th

  • 2nd Grade Field Trip Postponed Due to the Threat of Inclement Weather
  • Battle of the Books (Afterschool with Mrs. Kinsey)

Tuesday, April 9th

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.

Wednesday, April 10th 

  • Happy Red for Ed Day—Students and staff are encouraged to wear red to show their support for public education
  • EOY 3RD-5TH CASE 21 READING
  • Chorus Rehearsal (Afterschool with Mr. Bridgers)
  • School Improvement Team Meeting (2:45)

 

Thursday, April 11th

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
  • SPARK Club (Afterschool; Coordinated by Hardiman and Duncan)

Communities in School continues its weekly Incredible Years Program at Bethesda. The program starts at 5:30 with dinner. Free childcare and prizes provided. 

 

Friday, April 12th

  • Show Your Bulldog Pride by wearing your Leadership t-shirt, sweatshirt, or blue and white
  • We are cheering in advance for our bulldog staff members who will participate in the DPS Staff Basketball Game versus Glenn, Merrick Moore, and Oak Grove.  The game starts at 6:00. It will be held at Southern High School at 800 Clayton Road. Admission is $2 for school-aged students and $5 for adults.  The concession stand will be open. Come cheer our staff members on to victory.
