Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School, with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight. This week is a super busy week at Bethesda.  Please listen to the following reminders about important things happening at Bethesda the week of March 18th.

 

No Bulldog Academy Tutoring This Week; Tutoring Resumes April 1st

 

Monday-Friday Spring Book Fair Week

 

This week, 3rd-5th grade students will take an end of quarter assessment in math, science, and literacy.

 

Monday, March 18th

  • Truancy Court
  • NEHS Mtg (Afterschool with Ms. Morman and Mr. Collins)
  • Talent Show Rehearsal (Afterschool with Talent Show Committee)

 

Tuesday, March 19th

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
  • K-5 Instructional Parent Breakfast and Book Fair Shopping Day at 8:00.  Come enjoy sausage, bacon, grits, eggs, pastry, cheese, fruit, biscuits, juice, and coffee. You may be the lucky winner of a $50 gift card to Walmart.
  • Science Olympiad Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Sheehan)
  • Talent Show Rehearsal (Afterschool with Talent Show Committee)

 

Wednesday, March 20th

  • Happy Red for Ed Day—Students and staff are encouraged to wear red to show their support for public education
  • Bethesda's Parent Only First Garden Harvest Day at 9:00.  Come get a grocery bag full of arugula, kale, mustard greens, broccoli, and chard.
  • Chorus Rehearsal (Afterschool with Mr. Bridgers)

Thursday, March 21st

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
  • Rising 6th Grade Field Trip to Lowes Grove
  • Talent Show Rehearsal (Afterschool with Talent Show Committee)
  • Bethesda Family Spring Fling featuring Book Fair and Art Gallery
    • EC Family Learning Dinner at 5:30
    • AIG Parent Night on Thursday at 6:00
    • Talent Show at 6:30
    • Come enjoy great food, singing, dancing, comedy, art, and more.  You may be the lucky winner of a $50 gift card to Walmart.
  • Communities in School continues its weekly Incredible Years Program at Bethesda. The program starts at 5:30 with dinner. Free childcare and prizes provided. 

 

Friday, March 15th

  • Show Your Bulldog Pride by wearing your Leadership t-shirt, sweatshirt, or blue and white
  • End of Third Quarter
