Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School, with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight. Please listen to the following reminders about important things happening at Bethesda the week of February 25th.

 

Monday, February 25th 

  • Last day to pay for Kindergarten and First Grade field trip to Willy Wonka by 3:00
  • Last day to pay for NEHS & Spark Club field trip to NC Capital and Legislative Building by 3:00
  • Battle of the Books (Afterschool with Mrs. Kinsey)
  • Bulldog Academy Tutoring from 2:30-5:30

 

Tuesday, February 26th 

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
  • Science Olympiad Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Sheehan)
  • Chorus Rehearsal (Afterschool with Mr. Bridgers)
  • Bulldog Academy Tutoring from 2:30-5:30

 

Wednesday, February 27th

  • Happy Red for Ed Day—Students and staff are encouraged to wear red to show their support for public education
  • Progress Reports distributed to all students
  • NEHS & Spark Club field trip to NC Capital and Legislative Building
  • Chorus Rehearsal (Afterschool with Mr. Bridgers)

 

Thursday, February 28th  

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
  • A Celebration of Black Excellence Assembly
    • K-2 @ 12:30
    • 3-5 @ 1:15
  • Art Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Culberson)
  • Communities in School  will host its weekly Incredible Years Program at Bethesda. The program starts at 5:30 with dinner. Free childcare and prizes provided. 

 

Friday, March 1st 

  • Show Your Bulldog Pride by wearing your Leadership t-shirt, sweatshirt, or blue and white
  • Red Across America Day/Dr. Seuss’s B-day

 

Saturday, March 2nd

  • Garden Workshop at Bethesda at 10:00. If you would like to attend, please contact the main office for more information.
