Principal's Weekly Spotlight 1/27/2019

Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School, with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight for the week of January 28th. Please listen to the following reminders about important things happening at Bethesda this week.

 

Bethesda’s Career Day is scheduled for April 26th. Those interested in presenting to students during Career Day should sign up on the website. You can also recommend someone to present.

 

Monday, January 28th 

  • Battle of the Books (Afterschool with Mrs. Kinsey)
  • NEHS Meeting (Afterschool; A1; Coordinated by Collins and Morman)

 

Tuesday, January 29th 

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
  • Kindergarten Field Trip to Carolina Theatre to see "A Sick Day of Amos McGee"
  • K-5 Grade Choir Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Parker)
  • Science Olympiad Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Sheehan)

 

Wednesday, January 30th

  • Happy Red for Ed Day—Students and staff are encouraged to wear red to show their support for public education
  • ESL Daytime Parent Brunch and Learn.  Come share ideas and get tips from other families and staff.  (10:00; Coordinated by ESL Team)

 

Thursday, January 31st  

  • Morning Media Check Out—Please encourage your child to visit the library to check out books.
  • Spark Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Duncan and Ms. Hardiman)
  • Art Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Culberson)

 

Friday, February 1st

  • Show Your Bulldog Pride by wearing your Leadership t-shirt, sweatshirt, or blue and white

 

This is a reminder that Quarter Two ended last Friday.  Students have worked hard on end of quarter assessments and you will receive information about how they did soon.  Quarter Two report cards go home Monday, February 4th.
