Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School, with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight. Please listen to the following reminders about important things happening at Bethesda the week of November 26th.


Monday, November 26th

  • Battle of the Books (Afterschool with Mrs. Kinsey)
  • Day of Awesomeness; rain or shine. Students are eligible to participate based on how much they raised during the fall fundraiser.  If your child is eligible to participate, you were notified and should make sure your child has an extra pair of socks.


Tuesday, November 27th      

  • Morning Media Check Out
  • STEM Club (Afterschool with Ms. Sheehan and Mrs. Duncan)
  • K-5 Bethesda Choir Club (Afterschool with Mrs.  Parker)


Wednesday, Nov. 28th

  • Last day to pay for 3rd grade field trip
  • Happy Red for Ed Day—Students and staff are encouraged to wear red to show their support for public education


Thursday, Nov. 29th

  • Art Club (Afterschool with Mrs. Culberson)


Friday, Nov. 30th   

  • Last day to pay for 2nd Grade Field Trip
  • Show Your Bulldog Pride by wearing your Leadership t-shirt, sweatshirt, or blue and white


What’s Coming Up in December

  • December 3rd—Truancy Court
  • December 4th--Last day to pay for 1st grade field trip
  • December 4th—DPS Title One PAC Night at The Durham Armory
  • December 5th—Quarter Two Progress Reports Go Home
  • December 7th--Make up pictures for students absent or re-take
  • December 7th--Last day to pay for or return fall pictures
  • December 7th-- Winter Wonderland Dance; Send in your money and permission form so you can celebrate with us.
  • December 10th—Quarter One Awards Celebration and NEHS Induction Ceremony
