Principal's Weekly Spotlight - 9/30/2018

Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School, with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight. I want to send a huge shout out to all of the families who joined us for Saturday’s Block Party Celebration. We had a blast. Please listen to the following reminders about important things happening at Bethesda the week of October 1st.

 

Tuesday, October 2nd

  • Quarter One Progress Reports go home with all students. If you have questions about your child’s Progress Report, please contact your child’s teacher.
  • Community Volunteer Day at Bethesda; Join other Bethesda families, AmeriCorps, DINE, and FoodCorps as they continue Bethesda’s Big Dig School Garden Project. The event begins at 10:00 and ends at 1:00. Dress comfortably.

 

Wednesday, October 3rd 

  • Happy Red for Ed Day—Students and staff are encouraged to wear red to show their support for public education
  • This is the day of our Step It Up Fundraiser Kick Off. Please check your child’s bookbag for fundraiser information.  Your child can earn cool prizes and a day of awesomeness.
  • Bethesda’s PTA will host the Room Parent/Volunteer Meeting at 6:00 in the Media Center. If you completed the form or are interested in getting more involved, please attend.

 

Friday, October 5th 

  • Show Your Bulldog Pride by wearing your Leadership t-shirt, sweatshirt, or blue and white

 

This week, Bethesda celebrates our Custodial Staff. We appreciate all they do to make Bethesda look great.
