PRINCIPAL'S WEEKLY SPOTLIGHT WEEK OF MAY 1ST

Good evening!  This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary with the Principal Spotlight for May 2nd-May 6th.  This week’s quote comes from James Maxwell, “Students don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”. We are blessed to have teachers at Bethesda that care for our students.  Thank you in advance for celebrating during Teacher Appreciation Week.  Thank you for your support and all that you do.  Please listen to the updates about what’s happening at Bethesda.

COVID Protocol

Millions of children have been diagnosed with COVID and tens of thousands have been hospitalized. Vaccines help protect your child from serious illness and hospitalization from COVID.  Find safe, effective, and free vaccines and boosters near you at vaccines.gov.   #WeCanDoThis

If your child is not feeling well, please keep your child at home. If you need information about where to get tested or where to get the vaccination, please contact the main office at 919-560-3904.

If you signed your child up for weekly COVID-19 testing, students will be tested Friday.  You still have time to register your child for weekly COVID-19 testing. The link can be found in your email copy of this message, on Class Dojo, on our website, and on social media. Register your student today with the link: https://home.color.com/covid/sign-up/start?partner=tf-dur-637-studentsa

This week, Bethesda reported 2 positive COVID cases, 0 close contacts were identified, and there were 0 class closures. Your student may come to school unless they are feeling sick or exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19. Please know we continue to take all precautions necessary to protect the health and safety of our students and staff.

We do want to celebrate and honor our families that were celebrating the end of Ramadan today.

Thank you for all you do and for reading this message! Have a great evening!
