Principal's Weekly Spotlight Week of Feb 21

Good evening! This is Principal Moore-Lawrence with the Principal's Weekly Spotlight for the week of February 22nd. Buckle up and get ready for the ride! As we prepare for students returning to brick-and-mortar March 15th, I know that there are tons of emotions, thoughts, and views. I will be the first to acknowledge that we do not have all the answers and that we will learn more each and every day leading up to March 15th and beyond. However, I am confident that the staff, students, and families at Bethesda will be able to successfully embark upon this journey united as one, working collaboratively, celebrating our successes, and acknowledging our mistakes. Thank you in advance for personally preparing yourself for what March will bring to our school community. I am encouraged by a quote from James Baldwin, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” I am committed to facing this next phase with positivity, self-reflection, grace, commitment, patience, and perseverance. To what will you commit?

Please make sure that you have completed the Return to School survey for each of your children to let us know if your child will remain virtual starting March 15th or return to the building starting March 15th. The last day to complete the survey is this Wednesday, February 24th.
