Principal's Weekly Spotlight - 1/24/2021

Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud Principal of Bethesda Elementary with the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight for the week of January 25th.  Thank you for all that you do to make sure that your child/children are logged in every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 7:45 for morning meeting, math, science, literacy, and specials.  Thank you for all that you do to make sure that your child/children are logged in every Wednesday at 7:45 for morning meeting and Wellness Wednesday activities.  I recognize and appreciate your sacrifice, patience, perseverance, and resilience to make it happen.  We all know that attendance is essential to school success. Absences--excused and unexcused--can quickly add up to cause academic trouble.  This week’s quotes are“80% of success is showing up!” and “Attend today and achieve tomorrow.”  Please let me know if there are any obstacles, challenges, or barriers you and your family are experiencing as it relates to attendance. Together, we can brainstorm, problem solve, and make it work. Thank you again for all you do! You are truly awesome families and I am grateful for our partnership.

Thank you for viewing your child/children’s Quarter Two report cards on Parent Portal. If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher to schedule a conference.

Thank you for helping us reach 95% completion for the iReady Middle of Year Assessments in Reading and Math. In the next few weeks, your child’s teacher will share results from the assessment and next steps.
