Information on Quarter Three Report Cards, the Final DPS Instructional Packet, and Kindergarten Registration for the 2020-2021 School Year

Good evening, Bulldog Families! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary.  I am calling to share important information about Quarter Three Report Cards, the final DPS Instructional Packet, and Kindergarten Registration for the 2020-2021 school year.

Your child’s current grades are now available. Due to school closures, we are unable to provide hard copy report cards for Quarter 3. However, there are three different ways you can view your child’s grades and stay up to date on their academic information.  The first option is to view your child’s grades in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. If you do not have an account, contact your child’s teacher who will share instructions on how to set up the account and will provide you with a special access code, unique to your child. You can also find additional instructions on setting up an account by going to We especially recommend this option for parents of elementary school students. The second option to view your child’s grades is via the student’s PowerSchool account. Using unique login credentials, your child can access their student account through NCEdCloud which will allow him/her to view grades and course progress. We recommend this option for students in grades 6 through 12. If you do not have internet access or are unable to access your child’s grades online, the third option is to contact your child’s teacher directly to review progress over the phone.

The final DPS Instructional Packet will be available Thursday, May 7th.  This packet is only for students who are not participating in Zoom lessons. If your child is doing the Zoom lessons, he/she does not need a packet.  Packets are available at and can be picked up at Bethesda on Thursday, May 7th from 11-3.  We will distribute the packets in the bus parking lot located in the back of the school.  We strongly encourage all students who can to participate in Zoom lessons via computer, tablet, ipad, or phone.

If you have a child who will enter Kindergarten next year, you can get the registration materials from our website or the DPS website. Since schools are closed, DPS is developing a plan of how they can collect these materials.  I will let you know when I have an update.

As always, if you have questions or need anything, please email me at or call/text me at 919-358-6496. Thank you for all of your support.
