Principal's Weekly Spotlight - 01/06/2020

Good evening! This is Dr. Moore-Lawrence, proud principal of Bethesda Elementary School where ”Every Day!  Every One!  Every Way!  We will learn, serve, and achieve.” I hope that each of you enjoyed time with family and friends for Winter Break.  Thank you for all of the acts of kindness, prayers, love, and support you have extended to my family and I as we go through the process associated with the passing of my husband. I am blessed to serve such a wonderful school community.  Please listen to the Principal’s Weekly Spotlight for the week of January 6th.

For the next two weeks, our 3rd-5th grade students will take Cumulative MidYear assessments. These assessments are similar to the EOG and we allow us to see what students have learned thus far and what additional support is needed for growth and progress.  Students’ scores will be shared with families once we receive the information.  If you have questions, please contact administration.

Attendance and timely arrival to school are important for student success.  School starts at 7:45 and students are able to enter the building at 7:15. School ends at 2:15. School administration, the School Nurse, and School Social Worker are here to support families whose students’ have excessive absences, tardies, or late pick ups.  Thank you for starting 2020 off on the right foot.

At Bethesda, we are proud to say, “There’s No Place Like Bethesda…Where everyone is a global leader, 21st century learner, and world changer.  What starts here changes everything.”  Thank you for helping us to keep the main thing, the main thing--academics, attitude, and attendance.
