 BioManufacturing Certificate Program

 

NEW!! PharmaClean $135

    40 hours + PAID internship 

 

Looking for an introductory course to aid with transitioning into Biomanufacturing with the possibility of working you way up in industry?  PharmaClean is the course for you! This course aims to train prospective employees on the proper way to sanitize and disinfect labs and cleanrooms within pharmaceutical facilities. Students will be taught industrial level mathematics and critical thinking. In addition, Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) will be addressed in order to instill the correct attitude and behaviors that are required for working in GMP facilities. Upon completion, participants who successfully complete the course may qualify for a paid internship.    This course might qualify for financial assistance.                  (Internship and job are 12 hour-shift. Paid internship starts at $13 +/hr).

 

Prerequisites:

1-Copy of HS diploma or GED (Class offered for recent DPS graduates)
2-Students will also be required to undergo a drug test and criminal background check and pass specific immunizations prior to beginning the internship portion of the training. Certain findings on the criminal background check or drug screen may prohibit students from starting the internship.

3- Reliable transportation required for the job.

BioManufacturing Certificate Program

This certificate is designed to provide the concepts and skills necessary to become a Process Technician and Media Fill Technicians

           

               BioWork Next Generation 152 hours. $270

This course trains process technicians for careers in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical manufacturing. It offers job- seeking essentials and hands-on activities to simulate a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility (FESTO) while covering the core concepts of manufacturing and the fundamentals of science needed to provide marketable skills in the biotechnology field. 

Prerequisites: 1)Must be at least 18 years old2) Provide a copy of HS diploma /GED and demonstrate appropriate math level on placement test OR 3)Provide a copy of a transcript of any completed Associate’s degree or higher(see website)

GMP and SOP  24 hours  $90

This course consists of six (6) GMP modules stressing the importance of GMP and SOP practices in FDA-regulated industries. The modules are: Orientation/Refresher, Deliberate documentation, Conducting Investigations, QC Laboratory Operations, SOP in a regulated environment, Effective SOP writing.

Cleanroom Basics  24 hours.  $110

This short training will provide students with the importance of proper gowning, cleanroom behavior, and gowning qualification. In addition, students will practice proper sanitization and sterilization techniques in a certified cleanroom. At the end of the course, students will understand the procedures for gowning aseptically and performing proper contamination control. Prerequisite or concurrently: BioWork Certificate.

BioProcessing in Action  40 hours $165

In this 40-hour course, students will perform hands-on activities in a simulated GMP manufacturing environment where they will apply GDP to complete and maintain company records. Students will gain exposure to SOP training and execution and be able to follow material and personnel flows in order to comply with cGMP in industry. This course is designed to meet the training needs of technicians in the areas of Production, Media and Equipment Preparation, Quality Control, and Environmental Monitoring. At the end of this course, students will be prepared to meet the high demands and expectations required to work in BioManufacturing, Pharmaceutical, and/or Medical Devices. Prerequisites or Co-requisites: BioWork and Cleanroom Certificates
