DPLC/Holton Learning Continuity Plan

 

DPLC/HOLTON LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN

School Hours

9:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday - Friday

  • Each teacher will provide each student with instruction, assessments, and assignments for each course.

Online Instruction

DPLC/Holton Students have access to all of their coursework online.  Each student was contacted to determine their access needs.

Offline Instruction & Print Materials

For Phase II, each student was mailed the DPS Instructional Packet for their course.  This is to ensure that they do not lack the opportunity for learning if they cannot access their online coursework or if they lose access for any reason.

Academic Learning Time

Assignments and assessments are open for student access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Each teacher has communicated the expectations for their course regarding completion of assignments and assessments.

Instructional Expectations for Online Instruction

  • Teachers have opened course access for all assignments.
  • Each teacher has communicated expectations for all assignments and assessments via the LMS used for the course.
  • Each teacher will utilize their online office hours to communicate with students about their coursework.
  • Each teacher will update the DPLC Google Doc with student progress biweekly.
  • Advisors communicate with parents biweekly with updates about student progress.
  • School counselors and the social worker will communicate weekly with students that are not making academic progress.
  • Teachers can monitor academic progress via the LMS for the course.

Instructional Expectations for Offline Instruction

  • DPS Instructional Packets for Phase II were mailed to each student with and without access.
  • Each teacher will utilize their online office hours to communicate with students about their coursework and provide support.
  • Student progress will be updated biweekly in the DPLC Google Doc.
  • Advisors will communicate biweekly with parents about student progress.
  • School counselors and the social worker will communicate weekly with students that are not making academic progress.
  • Teachers can monitor student progress by phone, using pictures of the assignments.

Staff Meetings

  • The principal will contact staff in advance with dates and times for whole staff, departmental, and PLT meetings.  
  • PLC staff currently use Zoom for meetings.
