Congratulations to Dr. Theresa McGowan, DPS 2024-2025 DPS Principal of the Year! Dr. McGowan works to remove barriers to student success. Her approach to instructional excellence at Lakeview School has focused on creating personalized support systems for students, which has resulted in significant academic improvements. Lakeview has seen an increase in the number of credits earned, with many students getting back on track to graduate on time. Dr. McGowan will represent Durham Public Schools in the regional Principal of the Year competition, and we wish her well as her story of excellence unfolds.
