Good morning, Pirate families,

This  is Dr. Woods-Weeks calling with the weekly update. Happy Memorial Day to all! Congratulations to the senior class, Mr. Velegol, Ms. Clay and all the faculty who participated in the senior fest awards day events. It was a marvelous event enjoyed by all. Kudos to all for a job well done! I continue to be amazed by your commitment to excellence!

As an update, please be advised that Riverside continues to investigate social media rumors that came to our attention Friday thanks to quick reporting, and we are collaborating very closely with our law enforcement partners. Currently, there is no information suggesting that there is an actual threat to our school. We will keep you abreast of any updates, and please notify us if you have any information that would help us investigate these messages.

Next, we have just four days left before we begin final exams. Let's keep the main thing the main thing as we review final exams this week.

Don’t forget to request transportation for the next school year.  You must complete the Back-to-School form to guarantee transportation. IF you were not able to complete the form through your Power School account, please access the form bit.ly/RHSBTS22 to request transportation today.

Additionally, as we prepare to close out the year this week, please be sure to submit all high school books. Library books are due June 3rd. All fines must be paid before you leave for the year.

All student-issued technology devices (Chromebook, chargers, and hotspots) must be turned in before summer break.  If you fail to return your device, it will be locked, and you will not receive a new device next school year until you return the old one. Govern yourselves accordingly!

That said, parents please continue to help us enforce the DPS Code of Conduct by ensuring that your student adheres to the rules, policies and procedures set forth. Students show your school pride by wearing our school colors on Friday. I will see each of you at the River tomorrow. Go forth and make it a great evening! Roll Pirates Roll!!
