Good afternoon RHS Families,

This is Dr. Woods-Weeks calling with the weekly update. I hope you are enjoying your Labor Day! We made it through our first week, and what a week! We couldn’t be prouder of the energy and enthusiasm brought to school each day.
School will resume Tuesday, September 3rd at the regular time. It is important that students arrive on time prepared to learn.

Chromebooks
To follow up on the previous message regarding the discovery of bed bugs in a few Chromebooks, we understand that this has raised concerns, and I want to assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to address the situation.
Actions Taken So Far:
1.    Thorough Inspection and Cleaning: All Chromebooks have been inspected and thoroughly cleaned. All devices have been treated by pest control professionals.
2.    Preventive Measures: We have implemented additional preventive measures, such as regular inspections and proper storage protocols, to prevent any future occurrences.
3.    Collaboration with Experts: We are collaborating closely with pest control experts to ensure that our school remains a safe and healthy environment for all students.
Ongoing Precautions:
•    Student Responsibility: We ask that students continue to store their Chromebooks in clean, clutter-free areas at home and to keep them in their protective cases when not in use.
•    Home Vigilance: Please continue to monitor your home for any signs of bed bugs. If you discover any issues, please address them promptly and notify the school if you believe it may be related to the Chromebook.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to ensure the health and safety of our students and families. If you have any further concerns or questions, please feel free to contact us at 919.560.3965.
