Greetings RHS families!
This is your principal, Dr. Wood-Weeks, calling with the summer update.
Welcome Back to School! It is time to be Excellent!
A heartfelt thank you to all our 9th grade parents and students who attended Freshmen Orientation last Friday. We hope you received all pertinent information needed to have a smooth start to the new year.
Also, thank you to our amazing PTA for hosting the reception for our new teachers.
Our Open House is scheduled for Friday, August 23, 2024, from 5:00pm–7:00pm. Our first football game to follow at 7:00pm. Be there or be square! 😊
The first day of school, is August 26, 2024, and we cannot wait to welcome our returning and new families. This call confirms your student’s enrollment at Riverside for this school year.
As a reminder:
DPS will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students
Bus routes will be ready and available at the Open House Friday, August 23, 2024

Athletics
This week in athletics is packed with exciting games!
On Tuesday, the volleyball team takes on Panther Creek with JV playing at 5:00 pm and Varsity at 6:15pm.
Wednesday will see the Men's Soccer team hosting Orange High School, with JV playing at 5:00pm and Varsity at 6:45pm.
Friday, the Varsity Football team will face off against Northwood High School at 7:00pm. The theme for Friday's game is Black OUT, so make sure to wear your darkest gear and come out to support your team! It's sure to be a thrilling week filled with intense competition.

Tickets and Season Pass Information:
Please be reminded all DPS schools observe a (Clear Bag Policy). Elementary and middle school age children must be accompanied by an adult at all Athletic Events.
