Good afternoon, Pirate families,
This is Dr. Woods-Weeks calling with the weekly update. Happy Memorial Day to all! No school tomorrow! School will resume Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at the regular time..
Congratulations to the senior class, Mr. Velegol, Ms. Schmaltz, Ms. McKoy and all the faculty who participated in the senior fest awards day events. It was a splendid event enjoyed by all. Kudos to everyone for a job well done! I continue to be amazed by your commitment to excellence!
Spring Exam Schedule
We have just four days left before we begin final exams. Let's keep the main thing the main thing as we review for final exams this week.

Library Books
Additionally, as we prepare to close out the year this week, please be sure to submit all high school books. Library books are due June 2nd. All fines must be paid before you leave for the year.
All student-issued technology devices (Chromebook, chargers, and hotspots) must be turned in before summer break. If you fail to return your device, it will be locked, and you will not receive a new device next school year until you return the old one. Govern yourselves accordingly!
Athletics Department
Save the Date May 30th, 6:30 pm the Athletics Department will have a meeting for all incoming freshmen who are interested in sports. You will meet coaches, obtain information about summer workouts and more. This meeting will be held in the RHS auditorium.
Back-to-School Enrollment
The PowerSchool Enrollment Back-to-School update is available for parents to view and update student information for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have not completed the form, please contact Mr. Garcia or Ms. Keim. The goal is 100% completion.
That said, parents please continue to help us enforce the DPS Code of Conduct by ensuring that your student adheres to the rules, policies and procedures set forth. Students show your school pride by wearing our school colors on Friday. I will see each of you at the River Tuesday. Go forth and make it a great evening! Roll Pirates Roll!
