Good afternoon, Pirate families,

This is Dr. Woods-Weeks calling with the weekly update. It is show time! Test time is on! We begin final exams tomorrow. Let us keep a positive attitude, so it will be a positive experience for our students. Please ensure that your student(s) get the proper rest and eat a hearty breakfast each morning. I ask that you stay calm, cool, and collected in every situation. Make sure they arrive to school on time, prepared to test. Our students will do well because they have been taught well. We are ready to go!

Please do not make appointments between 9:00 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. We will not call into classrooms during exams for any reason. Students must be present on exam days to avoid having to make up any exams. We have a five-day testing window (January 9-13), and all exams must be taken. They count 20% of the final grade. Our goal is a 95% participation rate or better.

Students are free to leave after the fourth period exam on Thursday, January 12th.  However, you must plan for pick up and send a note for early dismissal. Buses will not be able to leave early due to the high school schedule.
